It’s a Deep Hole for Democrats
Everything the Democrats do and say right now is seen as opposition, not just to Trump, but to all Americans and our country. Every disingenuous word, every phony protest, every frivolous lawsuit just digs them in deeper. What’s that old saying? When you find you’ve dug yourself into a hole, maybe you should stop digging?
In less than a month in office Donald J. Trump has made Democrats immaterial. In truth, Democrats themselves have been working on it for years.
Democrats only have one move if they're to survive. Join with Trump. Apologize to America. Move forward with the rest of America. (More on that in a moment.)
This is Crisis Management 101 now that you've failed Marketing 101.
Marketing 101: Study your customers and offer what they want. Stop offering them a tofu-burger when Americans really want a Big Mac. The Democrats failed in the last election because they were tone deaf.
On the ideological spectrum, most Americans are just to the right of center. Democrats ignored that. They offered a strategy of hating and persecuting Donald Trump. Americans saw through it.
They offered open borders that allowed illegal aliens including murderers, rapists, pedophiles, human traffickers, drug dealers and free loaders to flood our country, then put them all ahead of Americans.
They offered DEI and installed cabinet members and others in the administration based on gender preferences and color. Most of them failed. DEI-infested agencies had catastrophic failures. The Secret Service almost let Donald Trump get killed, twice. FEMA left hurricane ravaged Americans in tents, if they had them, for months because many might be Trump supporters.

ICING ON THE CAKE: an offer of four more years with Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.
Voters saw and voters reacted: No Sale! Given a choice between Donald Trump and insanity, Americans chose Trump.
Democrats went into full tailspin mode and have been unable to pull out of it.
W.C. Fields once said "There comes a time in the affairs of man when you must take the bull by the tail and face the situation." Or suffer the inevitable result.
Crisis Management 101: When you've screwed the pooch, admit it, apologize and tell everyone how you plan to make amends and do better.
In the field of crisis management one of the best ways to diffuse a crisis when you’ve made a mistake is to own up to it. Admit you were wrong. Apologize. Promise to fix the problem and promise to do better starting today. Not only promise to do better but lead the way, turning that promise into a mantra for your industry that all others should aspire to. Don’t be the villain. Be the hero.
In 1996 a Life magazine photo of a 12-year-old Pakistani boy ostensibly sewing a Nike soccer ball shocked the nation. The implication, that rumors Nike contracted with child labor sweatshops in Asia to produce footwear and apparel were true. Regardless of the veracity of the report, the damage to Nike was done. Although reportedly slow to start, Nike eventually began auditing its factories for occupational health and safety, and slowly rebuilt its brand, regaining public trust and becoming a sportswear industry leader.
The best crisis management includes pre-crisis planning and prevention. Look for all the ways a crisis can occur and work to prevent them. In The Art of War Sun Tzu advises you plan for what can happen, not what you think will happen.
The worst crisis management is no crisis management. And that's where Democrats are today. Rudderless. Tailspin. Derailed. A total train wreck.
Recovery for Nike took a long time. Years.
There is help. There is hope.
Here are the steps Democrats and the DNC must take to survive:
- Admit you were wrong and apologize to all Americans.
- Tell everyone how you plan to do better:
- Pledge to put Americans first.
- Oust the current party hierarchy and all far-left extremists.
- Pledge your belief in common sense principles
- Work with the Trump administration to achieve its goals, not against.
- Develop a new Democrat party platform based on the above.
Recovery will take time. Years. The DNC may never recover. Many Democrats will be unwilling to wait.
They should have seen the writing on the wall when Joe Lieberman bolted the party to become an independent in 2006. Hell, they should have seen it when Ronald Reagan switched from a D to an R.
More recently came Tulsi Gabbard, and RFK, Junior. How's that working out for the left?
Look to see a lot more politicians jumping ship. Why not? Their voters, who are smarter than they are, already have.
